Teeth Clenching, Grinding, and Joint Disorders

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Treatment:

TME disorders are impairments in joint function resulting from intra-articular or extra-articular pathologies. Based on the results of clinical and radiographic examinations, we provide custom-made protective splint treatment to patients diagnosed with TME at our clinic. These mouthguards are designed to alleviate the symptoms of bruxism and joint disorders; they are used for the duration of the prescribed treatment period.

Bite-Guard:

Bruxism is a very common habit in our society. Tooth wear and cracks in fillings (especially in the front teeth), a grinding sound that can be heard during sleep, pain in the facial muscles and at the joint, noises made when opening and closing the jaw, headaches, loose teeth, gaps between teeth, and sensitivity—the appropriate treatment for these conditions is a hard, approximately 1 – 1.5 mm thick, to be worn during sleep.
